Certified by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), each light has been tested for light output, beam distance, impact resistance (at one meter), protection against water penetration and run time.

It features a locking collar that prevents unintentional battery use and a low setting that reduces the brightness by approximately 65 percent to offer considerably longer run times.
